For those of you in the Twin Cities area, be sure to make space in your calendar for some exciting dance theater action this coming week. SunsetGun collaborator Tamara Ober is remounting her gorgeous solo work SIN EATER over at Red Eye Theater June 13-16 as part of their New Works 4 Weeks festival. I've been lucky enough to work with both Tamara and Red Eye quite a bit in the last few years and am big fans of both of their work. The previous incarnation of SIN EATER was haunting and beautiful, I'm looking forward to seeing how the piece has further developed under Red Eye's generous roof. A bit about the show from Red Eye's website, where you can also purchase tickets:
Tamara Ober returns to the New Works 4 Weeks festival with a re-worked version of SIN EATER, an audience favorite from last year’s Fringe Festival that earned her critical notice and three Sage Award nominations for Performance, Performer and Design. Written, composed, and performed by Ober, this eerie piece weaves together dance, text, projections and music to tell the story of Glory, called home to her estranged father's deathbed and then sent on a mission to find a Sin Eater. Glory sets off to pursue this elusive figure through a haunted forest in an attempt to save her father's soul.
Hope to see you there!
Later y'all,
Candy
